Limmud South Africa is a Jewish organisation which focuses on organising educational events for both adults and youngsters. Limmud aims to enable all Jews to take one step further on their Jewish journey. Limmud originated in the UK but has since spread around the world with over 30 groups worldwide, choosing to import the Limmud model and give it a local flavour.  Limmud SA is a completely volunteer-driven organisation, meaning that the local event has a true community spirit and is driven by the volunteers who make it up. Events are held annually in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban.

Through Limmud, a space is created in which all Jews can explore the various facets of their Jewish identity. Everyone can be both a learner and a teacher and Limmud thus helps promote, improve and develop diverse and dynamic adult education. Members attend inclusive forums in which they experience the full gamut of Jewish opinion and belief. Limmud's focus includes philosophy, religion, history, culture, politics, dance, music, literature and much more.

Prize Voucher provided Young Limmud with prizes for their Poster Competition held at the Young Limmud event on the 9th and 10th August 2009. Each entrant had to design a poster that best depicted the ethos and image of Limmud. The Young Limmud programme ran simultaneously with the Third Annual Limmud SA event in August at the Wits Medical School. This programme allowed the youngsters to explore what it means to be Jewish.

Prize Voucher sponsored prizes for the 9-12 and 13-16 age groups. Four double Discover Scuba courses were up for grabs, worth R350 each as well as fitness vouchers to the value of R150 per voucher. The entrants also stood the chance to win one of eight paint ball games.
